Author: Mona Moisala

Doctor of Psychology Areas of Expertise: cognitive neuroscience, brain imaging (fMRI, EEG, DTI), attention, memory, multitasking. Mona Moisala has a PhD in psychology from the Faulty of Medicine of University of Helsinki, Finland. She is a part of the research group Attention and Memory Networks. Mona Moisala is interested in the neural basis of complex attention and memory phenomena. Her research aims at revealing the neural mechanisms behind, for example, performing two simultaneous tasks or ignoring distracting stimuli during task performance. In the context of the Mind the Gap project, she studied how different forms of ICT use were related to memory and attention capabilities in adolescents and young adults.
